DESCRIPTION OF THE EXCURSION
Full day excursion to enjoy the emblematic landscape of Los Lagos de Covadonga. It is an excursion suitable for all audiences, since it is a journey of about 5 km without unevenness, where we will make many stops to explain the glacial geology of these lakes, their flora and fauna and understand the ancestral coexistence of man with This natural place, which was the first National Park of Spain cataloged in 1918 and second of the world
We make a circuit departing from Lake Enol towards the lake, where every year on July 25th the Feast of the Shepherd is celebrated for the appointment of the regidor of pastures, and then continue through a forest of magical beeches until reaching the vega del Bricial , Where in the rainy season a third lake is formed, which is actually a polja.
We make a little break in the cabins of the valley to explain how was the mountain life, the transhumance and we will know the traditional way of making the Cheese of Gamoneu, together with the Cabrales, the most recognized cheeses in Los Picos de Europa
Afterwards we continue towards the sheepfold of Reblagas to quickly reach Lake Ercina, we skirt the Lake, we ascend to the moraine "Entrelagos" to enjoy the view of the 2 lakes (Enol and Ercina) and eat the picnic.
Then we went down the mines of Buferrera back to the vehicles. Continue on the vehicles towards Covadonga, where we give 30-45 minutes of free time to visit the Royal Site after an explanation of the most interesting places (the holy cave, the basilica, the source of the 7 pipes, etc).
Once the visit to Covadonga is finished and we return to a small cider mill where we will explain the manufacture of this unique drink and of course we will take some culines.
